Since the earliest days of the Company, some 60 years ago, Millbrook has operated Product Finishing services.

Although this was initially developed to enable finishing of our own ‘in-house’ produced furniture, it soon developed into an area of direct focus for the Company on a subcontract basis. Millbrook has developed a reputation for excellence in the field for many types of finishing to Metal and Wood surfaces amongst others. We were even called upon to refinish Vacuum formed GRP for Airport Check-in furniture in Lahore, Beijing and Cairo airports.

As with the Company as a whole, we place a high value on traditional skills rather than fully automated technology. This approach has enabled the Company to successfully work across multiple sectors where high quality and flexibility are a must, rather than focus on high volume production.

Millbrook has both factory and ‘on-site’ finishing capability for Powder, 2 Pack and High Solid paints for metal and Stove enamel and Powder Coat factory sub-contract capability for finishing metal items, from vehicles to shop fronts, furniture to unmovable plant. As well as the traditional skills of French Polishing, Millbrook also offer a High Build finish capability to wood.

This finish is favoured in many luxury yachts as well as ‘high end’ kitchens and public areas. Examples of our work can be found in cruise liners, Sunseeker Yachts and the UK’s National Wembley Stadium to name but a few
